The following URL will take you to the web page showing our church (Colonial United Methodist).  This is a web page that was given to a community website some time ago, so some of the information on it needs to be updated (something our minister is hoping to do as soon as he gets A ROUND TUIT).

However, the main information on there is still accurate, so, if you're ever in the Anderson area on a Sunday morning and are looking for a place to celebrate Jesus and the abundant life He gives, feel free to drop by!

We have no strangers at Colonial--only friends whom we haven't met yet!!! J

One more thing:  If you'd like to know more about Anderson, Indiana--as well as Madison County in general (and, yes, we DO have plenty of bridges around here!  LOL), there's a link at the bottom of the above web page that will take you to where you can cyberlurk in our community!!!

Hi! Glad you could make it!  I have a feeling that we're going to have a great visit, and I hope you won't be a stranger but will come back often!!!

For starters, my name is

and most people call me

or

though some also call me

and, no doubt, others call me names that I'm way too polite to print here!

I sometimes have a way of really cluttering things up--and I'm not just talking about my housekeeping habits (though they also figure in)--so I'm going to try to be careful with that when designing this website.  Therefore, I won't be saying much more on this first page (this section) but will let my other pages tell you more about me and the way that I interpret my surroundings and the general state of the universe.  After all, I'm a writer, and writers are supposed to be good at that sort of thing.  Hope you'll want to hang around at least a little longer--and, as I said before, I hope you'll come back here again, once-in-awhile, once you've decided to say, "So long for now!"

On the same day that I started working on this website (August 20, 2003), I began a new online diary.  This is a special day, because it would have been my maternal grandpa's 131st. birthday.  He passed away in 1959 on the last day of August and my first day of first-grade.

One more thing. . .this diary has the option of having its pages read in what's called the printer-friendly version.  To me, that's the easiest way to read it, and I think you'll tend to agree!

Do I have PMS at the moment?

Even if I do, how much does it really matter when it comes to my Imood?

Guess what
!?!

If you scroll clear down to the bottom of this page, you'll find a really cute and unique counter, which I added on Monday, January 18, 2004.  I hope you'll scroll down and see it--but don't skip the good stuff in-between in your hurry to get there.

One example of "good stuff" is this little tip-jar I set up on the same day.

Here's how to use it
(but only if you want to):

Look around my website, and you'll find out that I write for a number of sites.  Some pay cash and some don't.

I've started to notice that some of my fellow writers have decided to make like waitpersons, bellhops, street musicians, etc. and collect tips--and I decided that this just might not be a bad idea for me, too.

On that note, I decided to ask around and find out more about how this was done, and I noticed that I could set something up like this via PayPal.

Since they also take a cut and a small fee, I'll have to not accept any tips under a dollar or I might end up in the hole with a big headache.

Therefore, I must warn you that any donation under a dollar cannot be accepted.

Again, this isn't a command performance, and I hope you'll feel free to read as much of my writing as you want to and do so for free.

However, if you ever feel like it, just tip me by clicking here:

Thanks, in advance, for your tips
!!!

J
